While digital photography certainly is cost-effective and convenient, I have never been able to reproduce the great shadows and contrast that black & white film gives you.

Perhaps this is why I have almost exclusively used 35mm film for the past few months?

Sometimes nature teaches us important physics lessons.  The tensile strength of this tree, still alive and well, is high I’d say.  I’m thinking that a neighboring tree might have done this, but I’m not outruling a weak giant.

I went for a walk on the beach and ran into some resting mute swans.  I said hello, they remained silent, and I continued on my way.

Sand or snow?

I searched high and low for the captain of this vessel but he was nowhere to be found.  I hope he’s okay.
