I’ve spent the last few days breaking in my new lens while at work. So far I’m very happy with my purchase. In addition, the odd error message has thankfull not reared its ugly head again. I’ve found that closing the aperture to f/8 or f/9, even after having to subsequently bump down the shutter speed, yields very sharp shots with excellent, vivid colors. In addition, I’ve found that handholding the lens, although a bit tricky at first, is definitely not impossible like some reviews suggested. The results will surely improve with a monopod or tripod, but for now I’m doing just fine. Take a minute to check out what I’ve captured so far:
